6 reasons why Apple sucks

Once I was a huge fan of Apple. It is company that is praised by millions and hated by more millions. But now I will tell you what’s wrong with Apple really, and 6 reasons why Apple sucks beyond just the iPhone product.

#1. Cheap plastic for ridiculous money

Apple’s cables break most often. Ever seen this happen to your iPhone or Macbook cables? Welcome to the Apple world. The cables cost many times more than the cables for other companies devices. There is absolutely nothing special about them. No design, no anything. Only one obvious thing: they are made of cheap, non-solid plastic, that will break in months of use. And you will have to buy another, quite soon.

#2. It will gradually become painfully slow

Doesn’t matter if it’s iPhone, iPad or Macbook. With every new upgrade of iOS or OS X software, you think you get latest and greatest features from the greatest company in the world? Not really. Often times all you get is more bugs and more “features” with more bugs. On top of it all, your device gets slower and slower. But why you ask? They want you to buy the latest and greatest iPhone or Macbook that won’t be slow.

Ever seen iPhone 4S with latest iOS 9? It’s a pathetic thing to look at. However, Apple made millions of people who own the device to upgrade to latest and “greatest” iOS. All they did is made it unusable in order to give an incentive to buy newer hardware.

#3. It just won’t last longer than a year before it’s broken

In my personal experience, Apple products are the worst quality wise. They break right on schedule. In one year something eventually breaks. There is no lasting Apple product. All they want is for you to buy a replacement and spend more ridiculous money on something that will break later again.

My iPhone’s Wi-Fi stopped working in less than a year. My Macbook’s battery will not last longer than a few minutes in less than a year. All my cables are broken in months. I’m asking you, do you really want to follow me in my Apple journey?

#4. It makes you look like everyone else

As a developer, I liked iOS for having so many apps available. I had to buy iPhone. But then I realized it sucks to take out my iPhone showing other people that I follow the trend and that I spent big money on something everybody wants and buys.

After all my negative experience, I’ve met many people who just want Apple for no reason. After being given explanation on how bad it is, they would still want to buy it to follow the trend.

#5. It won’t let you get out easily

Once you have all your contacts, pictures and stuff in the Apple’s world (iCloud) is it easy to move on to another platform? Not at all. They make things work only inside Apple ecosystem, so i.e., if you’re using iMessage extensively, you will stay with Apple as long as possible.

#6th reason why Apple sucks is the Design it makes!

Yes, surprisingly, it sucks too. I’ve seen so many compliments to Macbook and OS X before getting the laptop. People would say how the design of the whole OS is thought well. But why in the world I feel such a relief going back to my old laptop with Windows 7? I literally enjoy Windows interface after all.

I won’t even mention what happened to iOS a while ago…

I have been only been using both the IPad and a Android tablet for a couple of years. I have a couple of games I like on the IPad that I have purchased. With the latest update they are now trash. All too keep up with Apple’s so called technology. Which is actually going backward and looking more and more like Windows 95 with every release. It is also so full of bugs that no one wants it. I am loving my Andriod more and more every day.

Resisted the iPhone hype for years but got caught in an emergency situation and had to have a phone NOW – wife’s iPhone 4… The more I use it the more I hate it! Everything being sucked in to iCloud, most likely irretreivably except with yet more Mac ware. Evil, greedy bastards, even worse than MacroSuck.

I bought the original iPad in 2013, I believe. It has lasted, but I apparently made the mistake of downloading a software update. Everything went to hell after that, and just continues to get worse. I’ll be lucky if this thing doesn’t crash before finishing these comments. The keyboard lags, meaning letters I type don’t show up until many seconds later; it can’t handle multiple pages being open without crashing; I can’t correct a letter in the middle of a word because it will only go to the end or beginning of a word; the keyboard often moves or disappears, causing me to tap on some random link which then takes me to another page; letters go missing in words I am trying to type; I often have to tap multiple times to get it to respond; the Wi-Fi is weak; and the list goes in and on. My off-brand Android phone is proving to be a much smoother, more reliable experience. I will never buy a rotten Apple product again.

9AM—go to AT&T store. They say they can’t fix my phone because Apple doesn’t allow anyone to fix them, but Apple.
They tell me to go to the Apple store at North Star Mall.
9:25AM—I drive the 12 miles to the mall and wait in line for approximately 30 minutes. An employee finally comes up to me and I tell her that my phone is not working and that ATT sent me over. She said (rather condescendingly) that ATT should have called and made an appointment for me. I told her that they didn’t say anything about an appointment. So she makes one for me at 11:30.
I go to grab a bit to eat. At this point the Apple store texts me to return to the store as they have an opening. Of course I don’t get the text BECAUSE MY PHONE’S NOT WORKING. Unbeknownst to me, my appointment is cancelled 10 minutes later because I didn’t respond to the text.
11:20AM—I go the Apple Store and tell them I have an appointment. They tell me to go this one section and grab a stool; and that someone will be with me shortly. Wrong! 25 minutes later I’m still sitting there. I ask this one employee where my name is in the queue. He says hold on and that I’m in the right spot. Wrong! 10 minutes later I grab someone who appears to be a supervisor and ask him what’s up. That’s when I find out that my appointment was cancelled because I didn’t respond to their text earlier that morning. He said that there must have been a miscommunication. I told him no, there was no miscommunication…there was no communication!!!! My phone is not working!!!! I said “Do you buy phones back?” He said if I were going to trade it in for another phone they would. I said, “Yes, I’d like to trade it in for an Android!!!” He was not amused, but I could tell he was beginning to understand the depth of my anger—and I believe he knew it was honest and deserved. He said he’d put me down on the books as having an appointment within the next 10 minutes. I said…NO….I want someone right now! So he pulled a tech from another customer and had him wait on me. I don’t think the customer minded, as she and at least half of the store had heard me. The tech had heard me too and he was cool with everything and very patient. He had my phone restored (without any loss of data) in about 10 minutes.
12:30—I apologized for my anger (to those customers milling around)—and walk out.

I don’t think I’m going to have my IPhone very long.

Apple is crap. Here are the devices which I’ve owned in chronological order.
-iPod 4th Gen – Still kicking and working great!
-iPad 4 th Gen – died unknown causes within 6months and was replaced via warranty
-MacBook Pro (2015) – crashed and died within 1 week and replaced under warranty. Sold it within 4mobths
-iPhone 6 Plus – battery failure within the first year.
-Replacement iPhone 6 Plus. Year old and and still using, but super slow
-iPhone 6 (bought for daughter) battery failed at 11month mark, replaced under warranty.
-Replacent iPhone 6 – Celluar antenna dead after 6months of use. Told I need to buy new phone for $299.. Told them I’m done with Apple.

Once my Rotten Apples fail, I’m moving back to Android and PC.. Apples are design to be rotten right out of the assembly line!

After telling a Apple Store tech that based on these experiences, “Apple products are crap,” he said my conclusions are based on anecdotes. I said, “You need to do some research, starting with the definition of ‘anecdote.'”

Apple sucks because when I was on my iPhone 6s the volume didn’t work plus my moms iPhone 8 has pretty much ruined my life because it made the Minecraft app glitch and it became laggy and it was not like that before but when I opened the game it was laggy and was glitching. My moms new iPhone 9 flash light did not work at all and I don’t get why one day it did work and the next day it stoped working. The parental controls on the MacBook and on the iMac are super strict and really u don’t need all that restrictions on a MacBook and a iMac man usually i would prefer a Dell laptop or a Dell PC just take away the HDMI cable from your kids PC and just hide it or just put it on parental controls.

Apple has always been behind, but they have placed a huge emphasis on marketing to try and make the brand an elite name. But ever since I started using computer in the early 90s, Apple products have all been limited. When Win 95 boxes came out, Mac System 7 seemed limited, buggy, and slow. Intel’s Pentium was pushing through native apps, Mac users were stuck emulating for years on the PPC platform, which made its perceived speed advantages marketing spoke about unrealized in the real world. When it came to iPhone, it likewise didn’t invent the mass market smartphone world, that fame goes to Blackberry. Android came out within months of iOS, and ever since Apple has played catch up: hardware is slower, options are fewer, software base is smaller. Apple has always offered mediocre products at a premium price and marketed to you that you’re using a BMW to make you feel better. Nothing has fundamentally changed, and they almost always derive their technology from other companies. You can get a Win10 laptop today with a touchscreen, and the MacOS based MacBooks have nothing like it. Apple is stuck in the same funk its always been in, but it keeps its niche market going and probably will forever more.

I am done with iJunk! Proprietary OS’s and their lame lightning cable adapter and no dedicated plug for my Skull Candy headphones; inability to easily delete all emails at once; cant place cursor into the inside of a given misspelled word in order to correct text errors; always requires more than one attempt to delete a voicemail and very inferior quality cables! Once I uncover how to retain my 16 year old phone number I am going to ditch this boat anchor and take the hit to my credit and leave this entire situation far behind me!!!

I was an Apple computer fan for decades, but purchased my first iOS phone in 2014 with the 6+. I detested the keyboard on Day #1 and still detest it to this day. Why-on-earth anyone ever considered this thing to be a “game-changer” is beyond me. Additionally, the highlighting and curser functions are terrible and the inconsistency across native and external apps is astounding. Thankfully, not everyone has “drunk the iOS Koolaide” and I will be buying a new phone soon……

Apple still sucks. Here’s my story. (typing on iphone 11 in 2021.)

before, i first got the iphone 8 from a different carrier in my basement room i had two bars with the android phone, i had it for three years, and the battery was nearing explosion… so i started looking into new phones. I was already fed up with android, already hated iphone, but i was curious as to how much better or worse it was.

So i got the iphone 8 when i got home i went down into my room and found i had no bars. the next two weeks were some annoying process of switching providers, and inevitably got the iphone 11. the first thing i tried was transfering my music from my linux laptop to the iphone. which y’all know how that turned out. so i decided that it wasn’t necessary. This was when so many problems came around. The editing of texts are just annoying, the lack of a headphone jack when it needs to be charged, the fact that my favourite game is free on android but 3$ on ios. (Shattered pixel dungeon) The numourous calls i have missed from people not in my contacts, the annoying double text sound when you unlock the phone. the swoosh sound while sending a text, the occassional max volume swiosh sound when switching apps, the potential subliminal messages used while using the earbuds. (which is kinda weird i ended up getting addicted to watching youtube when i should be writing music…)

The unexplainable extra steps required to do the “simple tasks”… plus soooo much more.

It’s gotten to the point that i am looking into Linux phones. (which Librem 5 seems promising.) It has the same specs as the iphone 11, and is 200$ cheaper.

All the while, the specs of the iphone11 is 4gb ram, (mine) has 64gb of memory. the photos are the only redeeming quality. and i don’t take many photos.

hopefully if anyone comes upon this message in the future and your looking for reasons to get the iphone. I highly suggest against it. There really is no redeeming qualities unless you are a photographer, but you probably already have a high end camera.

I hate to say it but, i miss andriod’s simplicity and customization. i currently feel trapped on an island using the iphone.
